Popular Kumawood actor, Kwaku Manu claims that there is a substantial level of hatred in Ghana’s movie industry.

He further explained that backbiting and unhealthy competition also play roles to derail the efforts of those with good intentions. He went on to say that in countless instances, some actors refused to play roles in movies due to bad relations with some of their fellow actors. He added that others are selective with regard to the producers or marketers to work with.

 Kwaku Manu went on to say that, in some cases, some marketers sabotage the efforts of the entire industry as a result of bad blood with fellow actors or producers. These developments, he stated, bred disunity in the industry.
